What is the Management Undergraduate Program?
The Management Undergraduate Program (MUP), launched in 2018, combines the expertise of the Graduate of the Finance and the Graduate Institute of Technology Management with courses from the Departments of Information Management, Industrial Management and Business Administration.
Its cross-departmental, multidisciplinary structure responds to the latest developments in the quickly evolving finance and technology industry, and allows students individual choices according to their interests. Currently mainy taught in Chinee, the number of English-taught courses is set to increase to upto 50% in the future.
A special feature of the MUP is its high degree of flexibility. Apart from the MUP focus areas of finance and technology management whose courses are provided by the Graduate Institute of Finance and the Graduate Institute of Technology Management, we offer students to venture into a cross-disciplinary area where they can delve deeper into fields like financial technology, data analytics and others.
The cross-departmental program design allows students to choose between the following six different concentrations. Apart from that, it is also possible to combine the MUP with majors or minors from other Taiwan Tech Colleges. Popular choices for double-majors are programs in enginnering or computer sciences.

Obligatory courses also include general courses, such as English courses or sports, which are part of the undergraduate education at Taiwan Tech. Furthermore, based on Taiwan Tech's commitment to University Social Responsibility, undergraduate students are required to earn one credit through a social project. These general courses are usually taken during the first year of studies.

Special Topics Projects
While it is not a graduation requirement to write a Bachelor thesis, MUP students have to complete a Special Topics project in the third and fourth year of studies. This project is usually carried out by teams of two to four students and will be supervised by full-time faculty of the Graduate Institute of Finance, the Graduate Institute of Technology Management, or the School of Management. The results of this one-year project (4 credits) will be presented orally within a competition organzied by the School of Management at the end of the first semester of the fourth year. With our high number of international degree and exchange students, the Taiwan Tech campus is a perfect place to meet students from all over the world. Students are also given the chance to venture out for a dual degree at the Nagoya University of Business and Commerce, or an exchange stay one of Taiwan Tech’s more than 300 partner schools.
